Yeti35 - try the CraigX carpet setup on page 422. Craig's setups work well for me.

replacement for black bladder

I have a setup sheet that calls for black shock bladders but I overlooked this and did not order any before this Sunday's race.
Now I only have the white bladders.

The setup calls for black bladders/white o-ring in the front and black bladder alone in the rear.

What difference am I going to feel in the front with these and is there some way to fudge the results (an extra o-ring or something)

If you add an extra white o-ring above the white bladder it should feel similar to a black.

I'm running 90 spur 26 pinion (changed to 48pitch as I had a heap of 48p pinions) with 3800's & takeoff cs-27's for my co27pro - interestingly this gearing was optimum for my track when I ran a komodo!

Where can I get the black shock bladders? All I see on Losi's part list are the stock white ones.

How does the car react under braking? I would like to try this too, but I was concerned the braking might be sketchy. Also, are running stock-19 turn- or mod? Later man.

Just dial in a little drag brake in the radio. Off power it gets somewhat pushy. I can compound about 1/8 of the front tires and mid corner lay into the throttle without a problem. If there's enough front toe you should be fine. I'm running stock.

We are opening a carpet track here in UT and I never worried about a setup before since I ran nothing but rubber. When the new car comes out I will regulate this one to rubber only for I like it that way but want to try a foam setup till it comes out. Would be nice if it is a downloadable PDF or similiar so I can print it out. Thanks to anyone who replies.
Matt Howard has a good general starting point and is looking for feedback at this link . It was a good place to start for a newbie on foams as I am.

Peace,

Go to the Losi or JRXS.com sites and find the Numan set-up. It is the main stay of set-ups for this car on rubber tires. Follow the set up exactly and you will be very close if not dialed the first time out. Good Luck!
