Can you fit in IB4200 if you have the plastic battery tray? Or do you need the aluminium tray?

Personally I would just get the bigger tray, I still use my older 3000 and 3300 packs for practice. You should be able to get the bigger tray from Model Flight in Adelaide SA, the website is www.modelflight.com.au. They show the large battery tray in stock. They are pretty darn good on delivery as well, I get nearly all my Losi stuff from them and only takes one/two days to deliver to Sydney...

Thanks D Hunt !

Mike was almost right. LOL I ran the 19 turn in the last qualifier to get a clean run. I bolted the 8 turn in for the main and just held on to it! I had something for them in the 19 turn main but a hung brush held me down. Man my mechanic sucks!!! LOL

Thanks to you Mike Haynes for the Cooli-O rubber set-up!!!!

POOKY- Sounds like you are doing well.

I have been told that the IB4200SHV cells are the same size as the IB3800 but a bit heavier. I am getting 4200SHV cells and my current ib3800 cells have the extra shrink wrap on them and they fit with the plastic tray. Does that mean the 4200 without shrink wrap will fit?

COOL CAN FAN- What is your website?

Cheers

TC4.....the 4200 SHV cells will fit perfectly, as they come from the box, all you have to do is to solder the bars on, and use the metal tray

TC4.....the website is in my signiture www.coolcanfan.com

thanks bud. It's kinda scary though, your setup is about 95% of what I was going to start with this weekend. Everythings pretty much the same except I didn't have the JR front link or 6 deg castor block on yet.

The links seemed to make the car carry a lot more cornerspeed, worth a try for sure.

I'll second that one
Also if you make the extra holesfor the steering linkage on the top deck you get more initial steering and seems to hold the corner better.
