He may have done it for clearance but if you look close you can see that the Losi ball studs have a hex socket in them. He may have shaved it down for quick roll center changes using shims on the outter ball stud.

If you look closely at the top of the ball stud you can see there is an opening for an allen driver, it lessens the chance of creating slop from popping the ball cup off. You just unscrew the stud. I would also not rule out that it was rubbing though.

Thats a good question...

My local shop still isn't sure. I've got it pre-ordered, but it would be nice to know when I'll need the money.

Surprises are nice around the holiday season, but not when its a "your $350 car is in, come pay for it.....now" type of surprise!

I have 1 of the 2 that were pre-ordred from our shop as well Definately hope it comes before Christmas....I can't wait for it. I wonder who will get theirs first, other than the guys that have it now????

Well Losi's site says around the 1st of the new year. They're pretty good when it comes to releasing new products on time....as far as I can recall. Anybody else's thoughts on other Losi products that got delayed?

At the Region 12 carpet regionals in Stockton, Matt Francis is first in qualifying (by a lap) and Todd Hodge is second.
