Battery tray........LOSA4309 In stock at KTHobbies.com as we speak!

The spool is another matter. The Losi spool " pads " are just coarse grit sandpaper cut to the size and shape of the diff rings. You remove the diff balls and glue the pads to the diff rings to build a spool.

OR.................

What i did and ran all last year was to get an old set of diff rings and cut matching slots in each one so that the balls fit into each cut-out. The pads will have some give in a crash and my cut rings will have 0 read ZERO give! To mark the cut outs I just held in place a diff ring on the side of the pulley and marked the square with a Sharpie. I then took the cutoff wheel and cut the blackened areas out. You need to make each opening a lil bigger than your marks so the ball will seat good. Then on either one be sure to tighten it down good. I hope this helps you out Steve-O !

It's on page 346, an excellent guide on making the camber link. it's in 3 parts.

Losi may be coming out with a replacement for the sandpaper "rings" for spools, I ran the new pieces on Saturday with great results, and no gluing anything together.

That would be nice. Factory molded camber link mod would be a nice touch as well.

Randy,

Can you give me an idea where to start gearing wise with the Checkpoint (JRX-S) 19T. Outdoor asphalt. Have you got to run them much? If so how do you like them?

Thanks.....Greg

I havent really run them too much, probably start somewhere around 40/128 for a good size outdoor track.
