Hi
I tried this yesterday, and was on a realy bumpy track and made me go a lap slower, so that gives you some idea when NOT to use it. Will try it on carpet this Friday and give more feed back

It gives you a few more options compared to the stock tower. With the JR camber link mod, the car is better (IMO) with a shorter link, using the rear shock tower is the easiest way to get this. I did originally order a sheet of carbon to make my own, but after measuring the rear tower, i found that this was the easiest option.

I have tried both the inner most hole and the middle hole so far, with the longer link, the car tended to dive less in the corner, but was alot less responsive.

Note that I drilled the shock tower holes to match that of the front tower - the shock angle remains the same.

Great
Your car was on the money yesterday Ben, Well done for winning the A, and well impressed as you lapped me my set up was sooooooo far away from you, but was happy to get into the A, with the big boys, (not saying im skinnyy or anything ) even if it was only 10th but would of been about 6th if i had not flipped the car on my last qualifier and corally plug came out of the cells DOH
Would you use that setup at West London do you think, or have you not been there as I know your local track is Ipswich, again would you use it there to
Cheers Malc THE CAN MAN

What were your average laptimes with and without the mod, and what did it do differently as far as feel? Did you try to correct the "problem" with any tuning? Just wondering so I know.

Sorry if this has been covered, but do the new updated suspension arms have a mount that is similar to where the BK brackets would place the shock?

Cheers Malcolm, I've been working hard on getting the car sorted, hopefully I can carry that pace to the next round.

You did well to grab that last place in the A, at least you could only improve from there!

I think there was 3 JRXS' in the 'A' , so a good showing really.

As for W/L, I would use it as a starting point, it may need tweaking a little for that long first right hander. I am sure it would be fine through the twisty sections though. I haven't actually raced my JRXS there - I used the XXX-S in round 1 of the STCC there last year, which, suprisingly, I won!!

Your welcome Ben
I should have grabed 5th/6th if I hadn't rolled it on my last lap and the marshal could not see that my plug had come out of the cells to complete my 16th lap, at least I got a 16 on the 2nd run, but you nearly got a 17 Your right about the 3 JRX-S in the A, but with all totally different set ups, just goes to prove the car can be on it in many hands whether it be old (ME) or young like your good self.
Do you think its a good setup for carpet on V-TEC 24's or have you not tried it?
Cheers Malc THE CAN MAN
PS, were you running a dif in the front?

I managed a 17 lapper in the 3rd qually, and was quite close in two of the three finals..

I've never raced on carpet, sorry.
