I'm just giving a heads up. I'm not saying it's a sure thing. But being a part of the Electronics Industry, I have seen some pretty heavy battles (and expensive) when it comes to this stuff. It really depends on if the company can prove that it could impact their money making ability negatively. Most of those things are patent infringement issues in the cases I've seen. But I do know a few that involved such things as leaking of confidential info. Designs are usually in that "confidential info". Hence why most companies have you sign a confidentiality agreement when you are hired.
futureal I understand your point. That is why they usually go for the source. But I have seen some go for the websites that they were also first found on. Citing that by posting those pics that site was "the contributing factor to the revenue lost by giving the competition an unfair advantage by releasing detailed design info that may or may not have had been patented or protected properly yet."
That is sometimes why designs are delayed. Copyrights and patents need to be pending so companies can't legally copy it.

The case would be UNBELIEVABLY weak....in fact, it would probably get thrown out.

If the pictures were taken out in the open where no crime was committed.....you could sell them to the New York Times and there is NOTHING any one could do about it. They call it Freedom of the Press......its a bit tough to beat. Spy photos of new real cars are taken every day.....thats why you see the companies use camoflouge covers or what not to hide the details because they KNOW there is nothing they can do about it.

Now....if you would of climbed a fence or broke into some building to get the photos.....different story.

And really....who cares, all this will do is help drive sales of the new car.

Default That's right...

Unless they own the copy rights to the pictures, people can do whatever they want with them. Public property also comes to mind. Freedom of the press, but Losi can deal with their employees as they see fit.

Todd
Those pics look like some kind of joke. It does not look like something your company would come out with. It looks like some amature creation made in the basement work shop of a guy who has too much time on his hands. These guys on this thread are hungry and I think your leading them on. Tell me is not true?

I think it's more likely the pics were leaked on purpose. What better way to blunt the sales of a new Associated car than to leak pics of a new generation Losi car just weeks before the TC4 is to hit the shelves.

The most exciting part is this car is truly new from the ground up, I can't wait to get my hands on one.
