Why do jrx-s carry no value. I've been looking at ads on RC tech and people have been selling jrx-s with lots of parts and they all seem to not be able to sell them for less than 200 dollars fully loaded.?

no clue....i love my JRXS...i'd run it but i wanted to run a car that me and my girlfriend can both run and is cheap otherwise the JRXS i have would be flyin' around the track right now

i think alot of people dont put enough time into getting it to run fast and they get irritated about it; i know alot of people dont like the car and the word spreads fast about it....my Losi works awesome on the old carpet

some tracks (in my opinion) just dont work well with the car for the class that it is run in

the current form of the jrxs isn't one of those cars that you can just throw a setup on it and go racing. It is very sensitive to changes and it takes a bit of time to get used to them. Most people give up on the car way too early before they learn how to set it up. I'll be honest, it took me 3-4 weeks to get it where I'm comfortable with it, and now that I have a "base setup" that fits my driving style, I can now fine tune it pretty easy depending on track conditions or class being run.

Honestly, that is one of the reasons I may not buy a JRX-S. I'm having a hard enough time setting up my XXX-S, so the JRX-s wouldn't be that good for me with my basic skills. I'm thinking of a XRay since they seem to be pretty forgiving (from what i've read). I don't want this to turn into an XRay bashing thread, but if you wouldn't mind telling me why the '05 Xray might be a worse idea (or a T2), i'd greatly appreciate it!!

I've only ever had three main setups on the car... the kit, Todd's, and the Numan setup... I never found the car hard to setup especially when these setups are gift wrapped to you from the Pro's....

Before the car was release there seem to be a world-wide campaign to bag the car. Thankfully most if not all these narrow-minded people have had to agree the car works and works well.

The Xray is a good car; in fact it would be hard to find any competition car that doesn't perform well. We are spoiled to have so many options to pick from.

Yes please anon! as long as its for carpet, 19turn and simular rubber to v-tc 24's as we are strugling with coming out of a corner to plant the car down
It seems to me over here in the UK we do not use foams that often and struggle with the car on carpet with rubber tires, some of us drivers are so far apart from each other with set up , and yet have simular times, 5 guy's in all at one meet last wwekend. It seems the harder we go with springs and oil that it seems to work better, personally I run 80 wieght oil front and 50 rear, 20lb springs rear and 25 front, yet I know of people that use 2,000 GS silicon diff lube in the front and 1,000 in the rear but you guy's in the US that run foams seem to go with really soft springs and oils a couple of guy's tried the new arms but could not get on with them at all and reverted back to the old arms, we just need that little more cornering speed and to plant the car square out of the corner to carry the speed onto the straight. Hope this all makes sense I should be in bed
Cheers TCCFM

Dennis--Get which ever car most of the people at your track are running. They can help you with set-ups. The X-Rays are excellent cars as is the Corally, Schumacher, and Tamiya. If you do decide to get the JRXS we will help you as best we can on set-ups. The JRXS.com site has great info as well as getting Todd's input on stuff. I hear that ole Matt Howard is pretty usefull with info as well! Good Luck on what ever you choose.
