Maybe Mr. Hodge can answer this:

I have a couple of rear (gray) belts that have a twist in them that was there right out of the package and remains to this day. What gives? I had a front belt that had a slight twist as well and it managed to flip over during one of my triple A-mains yesterday.

Any ideas?? Thanks

Also, is there any advantage to running CVD's in the front as opposed to LCD's. I have seen a lot of people switching to CVD's but wasn't sure if it was the thing for carpet?

Hey dude,

Heat the belt up with a bunsen burner and they straighten out-they also melt.. Weird-eh??

j/k -heat-em up with a hair dryer and voila. As for the front belt flippin-man that sucka had to be loose. I am on my original front belt (the red one babeeee!!) and it is still good. I might toss it for the Champs and put a new one on though.

btw-the RED car is still awesome!!

Howdy Ray,

The front belt was loose. Runnin stock yesterday at the Midwest grand National. Fun race.

Wanna be red car was fast too! TQ and 2nd... shoulda been 1st but hey I still got some hardware....

I'll try heating them up. Kinda sucks you have to do that but as we all know, this Losi car is a "work in progress" Rumor has it there is a chassis conversion coming sometime soon now....

Now all I need is some re-inforced arms!! Todd are you listening?

Great job!!

NO worries on heating up the belts-its no big thing. LIke cutting the flashing off parts-just a thing you can or should do-but dont need to do.

One way to get the twist out of the belts is to Dye them, I dyed my belts black and all the belts came out straight.....just dont leave them in to long. Also they will come out feeling a little more rubbery...

Drove the JRXS for the first time this weekend and all I can say is WOW! So much more steering than any car I've tried with tons of rear traction to boot. I was worried the car might be hard to drive or be twitchy, but this was not the case, It goes right where you want it to and is easy to drive. Thanks to Kinwald, Newman, and Caster for the great set-up to make the car great on it's very first run, never had to make a change all day. Anyone on the fence about this car, just get it, you'll be glad you did.

What can I do to get more mid and exit steering and less turn in?

I went to 4deg castor blocks and that seemed to help. Should I continue down to 2deg?

Big indoor concrete track, running premount 27s and 19t. Body was a mazada.

Part 2:

I dont have a close track that carries jrxs parts. What is the best place to get a motormount and shock ends?

On your set-up what roll center spacers are you running?

Try www.kthobbies.com for your parts

Tighten up your front diff, or possibly run a spool.

For parts you can go to horizon's website and order there.

Rollcenter I ran high with anti dive no other spacers. Also running a rear tower in front, front link long and low. Car feels good but just needs a lil more.

The motor mount is for car two which I decided to sell and a broke a screw off in it and cant get it out. Next time ill try the spool again.

I think you answered your own question. SPOOL boy! A little less turn in and a whole bunch more center to exit! Git R Done!

The car felt funny in practice with the spool but it was most likely the broke Tnut on left side causing that.

heres an off topic question...

What's the lap time differences between stock rubber carpet and stock OR 19 turn foam on the same track at your local tracks???? What about national events???

sorry i'm too lazy to look into nationals events...lol

at our track it's about 1.2 a lap from stock rubber to 19 turn foam
