Nope, i have only broken 1 steering link so far, and thats with racing 2x a week since June.

Id use the airtronic plastic or ofna aluminum arm, they are much stronger then the stock link.

The problem with the servo clearance is when you try to run the fullsize saw blade spur with an almost equally humongous pinion. Go to a 118 and an equivelant pinion rather then the two larger, heavier, higher rotating mass gears......You'll also be moving the weight and rotating mass of the motor back a little which may help handling as well......., Jim

I bought one thinking it would be a good performance item; however, I found it was an all-show-and-no-go option. Slightly moves the spur gear outward which made it align poorly with my pinions. Had a heck of a time getting it on and off which was likely due to the anodizing inside the center hole. Just setting in my box these days. Looks good there!

I am running on carpet with rubber tires and the "Newman" setup is what I am starting with. I see on his setup that he is using "2" .050" shims to add to the roll center in the front and he also is not using any kickup or anti-dive. so I assume that he is rasing both front and inner pivots .100" ? is this correct?

if that is the case then what are people using for shims the ones that came with the kit are .050" but only one set came with my kit so do I buy all the pivots to get more shims or is there other shims that are used?

things would be much better if I could get these guy's to run foam tires

Yes, the Numan setup uses two .050" shims under each of the four pivot block locations on the front end for a total of .100".

The kit comes with four each .050" and four each .035" shims. If you use one each under each location, you will be close enough at .085". Actually, I like .085" over .100" for most conditions.

JRX-S Bill; thanks I will try that. do you know if we can buy the shims without the pivots I can't see needing the pivots or is that something that I should carry as spares

You may want to pick up a set of extra pivot blocks, I broke one inner and one outer block so far. The outer was broken from a rear end collision. And the inner one, I brushed the wall on the straight and found a opening in the boards to snatch the rear arm off breaking the pivot block.

As Pooky said, EaMotorsports has the PRS gear adapter and PRS spur and pinion gears. The adapter I got didn't have any anodizing on it, so I didn't have any fitment issues. What ae servo mounts are you guys using, the ones fo the tc3? I use a Futaba 9550 servo and don't have any issues so far.

I'm interested in that to. I will be going to Mimi's to later in the year and since I don't carpet but once or twice a year a close setup would be helpful.

Has the Losi JRX-S changed? I saw how the Losi crew was running the rear engine version at the nats. Is this a better set-up for the car?

It is just a prototype. Wo knows if it will ever make production. Its based on the 4wd offroad cars layout-adapted to onroad.
