Apart from the expense, I think the 25mm x 25mm fans are very inefficient. I use a 40mm x 40mm as these have higher CFM, and draw only 110mA. The 25mm x 25mm fan I tested draw 340mA as pack voltages. So if you were to make a top deck to support a 40mm fan, I'd be very interested .

Has anyone heard from Pookyt? Monday will be two weeks since I've paid him for the BK Brackets, and they still haven't shown. I'm beginning to wonder if I threw away some money?

It took a while for me to get mine, but they did eventually show up. Don't worry, he's a stand up rctech'er. They'll show.

Sorry if I forgot to email you personally. All the orders went out this week. Everything went priority so you should be getting the brackets anyday. My appologies to any body who ordered the brackets in the last few weeks as my " ormal" life has been anything but normal! LOL

Thanks Ray!
On a positive note too, several of the evacuees have already found jobs and are planning to stay in our area! Yeah! Most families have also located other members and are making plans to reunite. My wife works for a small weekly newspaper in a town just outside of Jonesboro( where I live) and today interviewed the first 300 evacuees that arrived several days ago and they all were VERY thankfull and had nothing but praise for the local people and their help. LOL One lady said everytime the church van takes a group of them to Wal-Mart that people just wak up to them and ask what they need or give them money. I'm proud that my lil corner of the world has come together to help like I know countless other communities have. Sorry to ramble but it just makes me feel good to help those who lost everything. Later gents.

Hey Brant,

Does your church have a fund established for the evacuees? If so, drop me a PM.

Thanks.

Default Gear Ratio

Can anyone tell me a good starting pinion size for running in my JRX-S with the stock spur gear and with an Epic Binary Stock motor. A quick reply would be very very helpful b/c i am racing tomorrow. The track I'm racing at is a pretty tight track. 1 short straigh away. I would say in between an open and a tight track. Thanks.

I would start off with a 30 if your track doesn't have a very long staright-a-way. I run a 29-120 set-up on my car. I have the spur gear adaptor and it is sweeeeeettttttt! I run a binary also, and thats what it seems to like.

Default esc mounting

New to rc cars my first car I bought a jrxs. So here is my ? I bought a lrp 7.1 speed control and its a little big to fit on the side where I see many mounted. Do you think it would be a problem with over heating if I mount it on the crossmember above the batteries. I already looked and made sure the wires wouldnt get in the way of the belts or gear. The only thing Iam worried about is a issue with over heating my esc. Any help would be great.
