I actually notched the rings first, put balls in the pulley, and then used the JB weld to hold it all together. I think Josh just put the JB weld on the rings to secure them to the pulley, his thrust is also covered in JB as well.

Put balls in the pull? I did it the other way then I just JB weld the rings to the pully. Would that cause any problems ?

It seems to hold up fine, I dont think you'll have any problems as long as it cures completely before you run it.

Hi everyone.

After much diliberating the car is on its way! Can anyone tell me the maximum diameter spur gear that fits in the car? - I'm getting the PRS adapter too so I can run 48 pitch gears (rather than buy a complete new range of pinions), and would like to check what size spur gear I can run.

Alternativly, could someone give me the diameter of the std Losi 128t 64dp gear so I can do soem matching up.

Thanks for any help .... I'll probably be back on here soon after some more tips!

Cheers
Oli

Oli--The 128 spur is 51.60 mm in diameter. A couple of carpet guys have run a 130 spur but it hangs a lil under the chassis. Hope this helps

Asphalt guys,

I have been running a nicely trimmed piece of 3/4" wide electrical tape on the bottom side of the JRX-S chassis at the slots where the spur gear and pulleys are located. Keeps a lot of grit and grime out of the drivetrain.

Are most of you guys running the Numan setup? I figured I woud give that a try first. Does anyone have Bobby Flack's carpet setup? I hear that his setup is dialed.
