How do you like the 3pj? I'm looking to get a new radio. I like the Helios. Just looking for opinions. I have been running a JR 756 for 9 yrs. LOL

As far as set-up goes, I was running the Josh set-up with a #1 front pivot(thank you David-Brian-Billy). As the traction went up I wanted just a lil more rear rotation and I only had a few mins to make a change so I put on the .03 rear sway bar and the car was excellent. I was running the Skoda body and I probably could have used the Stratus 3.0 or Mazda 6 to get a lil more turn in. Overall the car was fast, stable and easy to drive. The Josh setup is my base and I simply tune from it for track and weather conditions. Oh and I had 50 wt front oil and 45 rear.

Brant....most of the indoor carpet foam setups will get you close. Maybe you might need to go a little down in the spring rate but for the most part they are really close.

I went from a KO EX-5 to this (bout 7 years ago) and I have not bothered to look any further with radio's as it does everything I need it to do. Instructions are poor, but I've heard a lot of people complain about this with all radio's (Japanese converted to English ). It doesn't chew batteries (Futaba's generally don't as a rule), and it feels good, but it's superseded now by the 3PK. Should check them out....

Ditto! But if not available get the Helios alone or with the Mini-Z module included; and, then sell the module for $30-40 to get the cheapest overall price. 2 cents!

Geeze...I like spending YOUR money!

LOL Thanks -- Like I need another wife!!!

I have been so pleased with my 756 and I like the Helios feel so the best of both worlds would be the Z-1.

The Z-1 is a Helios with JR badging and Synth module. If you plan on going Spektrum your best bet is to get the Helios with the Mini-Z module (AM 27MHz), which is by far the cheapest route, and replace it with the Spektrum system. Unless you really were looking for Synth, then the Z-1 is for you.

Personaly I love my R-1. You could allways get the Spektrum now for your 756 and just transfer it to an R-1 later....

ps.. my new losi kit is going together well, but we need to have a new event at the state fair where the guy who can fit the 4 o-rings into the threaded shock collars in under an hour wins a million bucks! I fiddled farted with those things all night. lol

Yeah I know and I have been back and forth on this for like 6 months now. I like the coolio idea of running the old school 756 with the pimp Spectrum. But, Man I also want to move into the new century!

You think they are bad just wait till you try the ones in the Oneway !!!!!! Those ( shock collar)and the oneway o-rings worked better for me if I put them in the freezer for a min. Hope this helps.

You got P.M.
