You do not have to pull the shaft at all to get the stock gear off, just the E clip and then the gear. It really is not that hard to do.

I was having problems with it not coming off because of the cutout it fits into in the chassis.

I've noticed(and I'm sure I'm not the only one)that the motor plate is anodized a different color than the rest of the aluminum on the car. Is that plate anodized differently, a hard coat maybe for reduced wear since the motor slides in and out and around there?

Yes this is normal. The motor plate is just black anodized. The other mounts are a tea green anodizing color. The only parts that are hard anodized are the diff tubes and the shocks.

Try the Josh Numan setup. That is what I have ran with my oneway car and it works good. Just use the 42T pulley.

Sounds good, that's what I'll do. Thanks to both of you.

Sadly, I am selling my JRXS with all the extra parts because not one shop near me is supporting the car and I'm tired of having to carry all my own parts. Last night I broke an outdrive on a pretty decent hit (not major) but it was only practice and I had to sit out because of no parts. I have the part coming in wwith an extra, but after thinking about it I'm going to go with a car more supported locally. It's sad when 4 local shops do not support a USA product but carry the Euro cars and Japan. A sad day indeed.

Why not just ask the hobby shop owner to carry some parts?

It's also sad that you will no longer be supporting a USA product.

That's the first time I've heard of a shop in the states that supports the foreign companies, but doesn't support Losi and AE. I don't see how they stay in business, since those two companies are by far the most popular here.

Surprising they don't carry parts since Horizon=Losi, and it's hard to be in business w/o Horizon or GP.

Alright Tech Master Rob!

You gonna come out to AJ's for his trophy race next month? I think I'm gonna need some Losi backup.
