Can anyone remind me how to build BK Bones for my JRX-S?

Believe it is with 3/32 x 3/16 ball bearings; but, not sure what to do to hold them in place on the pins.

Should I do it on both ends?

Thanks.

Bill--They are held in place by being a lil snug. You need to gently press them down on the pins. The LVD's need to be slightly sanded down for the pins to fit. I think Hodge said he used a Dremel stone and went around the pins a couple times to make them fit. Just don't get in a hurry and you should be fine. Personally I like them on both ends. It really keeps the wear on the outdrives and pins to a minimum. Remember!! Measure twice!!! Dremel once!!!

Default BK Bones

I assume that you are agreeing that the bearing size is correct.

OK...Will Dremel twice and measure once...he, he...

Thanks PookyT.

If you grind too much put CA on the tip of an X-acto and use it to secure the bearing.

I used one of the large diameter thin stone type bits. I don't remember if it was the blue or the pink one. About the same diameter as the cut off wheels. Go get'm

Default Does anyone know...

if Losi is going to release the JRX-S shocks in kit form? I could use a few sets for racing and I'm not going to pay $120 for a set of shocks.

If you look into the outdrive cups, you will see narrow slots (for pins of standard dog bones) AND wide slots for those that use small ball bearings on the dog bone pins.

This BK upgrade provides smoother action of the dog bones in the outdrives.

Probably more important to mod motor drivers; but, I want to try them.

When fitting the ball races to the dog bones take great care not to push them with to much force as the inner track of the race will burst very easily and the the whole point of the install is wasted as the races are no longer free!
