What is the next race that you are going to attend? I noticed that you are not in for Reedy this year.
I have been out of the racing scene since December.. First race since then was 4Fun this past weekend..

Just been real busy lately. But getting back into the swing of things now. Gonna try and make LaMirada this sunday,... with the LOSI maybe. We'll see..

Once I get the LOSI going, feel free to come look me up..

Not a racer per-se, but I work part-time for a trackday company, so naturally, I hit the track whenever my schedule allows. And yes, that is the almighty 636 carving up asphalt in my avatar! Glad to hear Kawi has converted another rider!

Default stock setup

Hi again,

I haven't finished building my JRX-S yet , but I will be racing it on a tight, carpet track with foams in the stock class and kinda build it using Brian Kinwald's carpet setup, which isn't for the stock class.

Would I need to make any major changes(shock oil, springs, settings etc.) or should it be pretty much OK?

Also what pinion would you recommend (for 27turn stock)? I have no experience with 64p pinions, b/c I used 48p on my TC3.

Thank you!

Carpet set up w/foams:

Front:
#57 piston - Losi 50 wt - 60lb spring
shocks laid in to third hole on tower
camber link in lowest position
.060 ackerman and .090 bump steer
1 degree pivot
6 degree caster
.035 anti-dive
low roll center
middle wheel base
droop (1mm above ride height)
4.5mm ride height
low diff
41 tooth pulley

Rear:
#56 piston - Losi 40 wt. - 25lb spring
shocks laid in to third hole on tower and out on arm
camber link in on hub and middle row and all the way in on tower
1 degree pivot
1 degree off set hubs
middle wheel base
.050 sway bar
droop (2mm above ride height)
4.5mm ride height
low diff
.020 pro-squat
low roll center

Parma Alfa
Parma Cyan front 2.25
Parma Magenta rear 2.25
DC Motorsports 7x1 Ti based
PRS gear adapter w/130 spur and 25 pinion
Front diff slightly tighter and than rear

This set up is really good in modifed. Turns on a dime and is NOT twitchy under power. This is not much different than some of the other set ups, but this has been the best for me. A couple of other racers at our local track tried the set up and went a two to three tenths faster......

I will be experimenting with wheel base next time out using the set up listed above.. I will report back my findings...

It should be perfect for stock. If you need to free the car up try going to 0 degree off set rear hubs. That will reduce your rear toe to 1 degree.

Hey RBLove, can you use the JRXS setup sheet we have set up and we can repost the setup so people can view it nicer
Then people can print it out and take to the track with them
Thanks

Default Todd Hodge Asphalt SetUp

Hi Todd,

again on your setup, nothing is missing, but I am in doubt for the Front Roll Center: is it "high" because you added two .050" spacers to the blocks in "low" position, or you started from "high" position of blocks and furtherly added the spacers?

If so, this seems a big difference with the Rear "low" center, isn' t it?

The JRXS is great: when compared with this car, all the competitors look like old...

Thanks,

Eddi.

RB Love,

How much front toe are you running and were you running o-rings above the bladders and how far were you in on the sway bar or was it mounted at the end?
