Default Battery Bars

Rayhung-

I had mine the same way you have yours, CHANGE IT. I had my front battery bar rub through the shrink wrap and cover of the next cell and shorted the two out. Smoke came out and the battery was spitting out and needless to say the battery was smoking hot. Of course I coulnd't easily remove the battery. I'm going to change mine over to be more like Hodges (on the Losi site).

FYI to all, make sure plenty of clearance for your batter bars to the next cell over.

Default Mr. Losi

I only used the 5 and had no problems, like you mine came with 7, the manual says use 5 so I did.

Can ran great with 5.

Thanks Mike-I'll take at look at the website right now. Paul Ciccarello uses a straight up battery bar in front I think.

No matter what-its not easy to solder the front battery bar. Always worried about hitting the belt or buring your fingers!!

Next time I'm going to take a small piece of vacuum tubing and cover the belt when soldering so if I touch the tubing it will just stink and at least it won't damage the belt.

that's a silly question, how long have you been doing this? all cars can be fast.

you should get one and try it out, if you like get 1-2 more to sell. if you don't sell'em you can always ebay'em. someone will take them off your hands.

I'm not sure about all the battery issues that's been going on, since I only use what's legal.

but eventually you need to make your own decision.

Before you try discrediting someone you should pay attention to what is going on within the forum.

Is Mar 12, 2004 before September...that's when the spotting was reported on RCTech.....seems that it was a pretty accurate account too.

How's that for a calendar?

Here's the link to the thread...Enjoy

My apologies to everyone else for my sarcasm.

Edit: Actually....you commented on that DAY on that thread Eddie???
