The new shocks are smaller in size.....I would think the old springs would fit but you why would you want to use the old ones. Springs are cheap like 2.50 a pair I cant see spending 300+ bucks on a car then using OLD springs to save a couple bucks. I think if you change the bottom spring retainer you would be able to use the old springs if need be.

48 pitch gears Im not sure there.....they might make some or when someone makes an adapter you can use any type of gear you like.

Shock springs--No, they are a smaller diameter similar to the Associated or the Tamiya shocks. Pistons are changed as well.

48 Pitch--I'm not sure but I have only seen three different spur gears listed and they are all 64 pitch. FYI I was told that PRS was developing an adapter to run their regular type spurs which would allow you to run 64 or 48 pitch. I have not seen an update on their web site as of yet but I am hopefull.

DURN Kevin !! type a lil slower next time. LOL

I do have a question about the car. In the parts list at Horizon they list a HD thrust bearing and it shows to be a JRXS part that is NYA. Does anybody know if this is the hardened concave thrust washer set-up like the McMaster bearing?

Hang in there Rodney. I want you to have one also. Everyone is switching over to 12th scale at our track and I have noone to race tc's with...... Looks like the driving cross country to race thing is upon my future (again)......
Rob, I'll race with ya, just give me about a 8 lap head start. A lot of those guys like to wrench too much and I think they are getting bored with the low maintenance 1/12th cars. I expect TC to pick back up with all these great new cars coming out.

DJG24, they might have shipped them to Horizon today so maybe JR. was right. Then Horizon has to verify that they have received all the kits that they were billed for and then put them in the system, then get them ready to be shippped. I am guessing that it would take a day or 2 to get turned around at Horizon as I am sure they are always receiving items from different manufacturers every day.

Sorry to ramble on.

The old xxx-s springs won't fit on the new jrxs shocks, the old springs are too long and too large in diameter, the new springs are dialed, they are only 3/4 of an inch long. As far as gears there is only the 64p 128 spur for now, a 118 will also be offered I think. Hope this helps.

Brant,

Well, the guy at the end of your list has already purchased 5/64" ceramic balls for the thrust bearings...Regardless of what Losi provides.

Todd...Can I get a credit for all the balls and bearings??? he, he...

Well I think we can dismiss that theory of 'they can't tell us anything because their all too busy "packing kits" to come on line'...

Can come on to tell us about a spur gear, but can't throw us any news (good or bad) on the important issue?

O'well... I'm sure I'm the only person around here who thinks thats weird. And the flames "be patient" will be flying shortly

POOKYT- Yes, the thrust bearing is similar to the mcmaster car one, it seems to work well, the diffs stay smoother longer.
