Just so you guys know, at the Novak race there were 4 JRX-S's in the modified main, and 2 in the 19-turn main. The cars were awesome all weekend so you all definetly have a reason to be impatient about getting the car. Look for it to be available around Snowbirds.

Freddie--Thats a cool way to mount those connectors dude! I could use that method in my MF2 and BK2 as well.

I plan to also grind a groove into the 90 degree battery bars to allow me to solder the plug-in connectors down INTO the bars (as opposed to ON the bars) and well below the upper deck.

That is just brilliant FastFreddy! That is just what all of us have been looking for. That, along with JRX-S Bill's 'groove' idea, should put an absolute end to THE only gripe most board critics had with the car.

What is interesting is to see what else they will come up with to complain about now!

I am sure that once the car is available to the public, the next topic of endless griping will be spare parts availability/hop-ups and graphite, etc.

No, I think the first gripe will be about 'that' part.

What part is 'that' you ask? Its that one part on every new kit that the team drivers never broke, but us mere mortals will manage to break about a half dozen times in the first month of ownership.

EVERY new car, has 'that' part. I remember it with my Yok SD(arms) with my HPI Pro4(one way gear) and in the past people saw it with the XXX-S(C-Hubs) the TC3(a couple things), just about every new car you can think of.

How fast Losi can correct the problems with 'that' part, or at least keep the shops stocks with parts will determine just how much complaining we'll hear.

Default Short Track Carpet Car?

I remeber somone mentionaing a while back that the car seemed to be designed for carpet racing and smaller courses with lots of fairly slow turns. Is this true? Does this mean that for large fast asphalt the XXX-S may still be a good choice?

As far as I know it has only been raced on carpet; am I right?
