Ti screws: weight savings vs. price

How about using titanium screws ?? I'm not sure the weight savings justify the price of Ti screws. What do you think ?

Most of the cars designed today are under weight for racing as it is. Granted it allowes you to place weight were it is beneficial to you, but i can think of alot of better ways to spend a wad of cash

I think that stainless screws are the way to go. They are cheap durable and look nice. Plus I can go to my local hardware store any time I want and buy them.

I paid something like $80 for the Ti screws on my TC3, which will also go on the TC4. Were the worth the price? Probably not. Do I notice any performance difference? Hell no. Do they look cool? Yes. :D

80$ for screws? Hell no man, that's almost a month's supply of tires.

What did you pay $80 for! http://precisionrc.com/cgi-bin/cart.pl?BR=SMD1&DT=27.
I know there isn't a set for the TC3 there but there are 180 screws for $68. Surely thats 2 tc3's

Also remember that the properties of titanium screws are that they are lighter and stronger than steel screws but they don't bend very often but they do snap!
