my question is rather bad or stupid jokes. I should have asked " Could you teach me how to win at TCS race ? "
OMG..... I'm so sorry

Hmmm, dont know if it's just me, but I find it a little hard to believe that the use of the word "cheating" just happend by incident....

OK since you changed the tone of your post a little. All those 540 motors are not built evenly. The same maybe but not even at all. Since you can buy them for 4 bucks a piece. Buy 10 and have them dynoed or run them all till you get your favorite one. Then sell the rest on E bay. BTW dont ever buy one of these off of Ebay is another good tip.

Okay, allow me to contribute one secret to win TCS :
As soon as you received the stock motor ( mabuchi 540 motor ) from tamiya race organisers, you don't seat and drink coffee
. You should break in the motor right away for as long as possible. You dipped the motor into a big jar of water, and let it runs continuously until 20 - 30 minutes before your race called. Don't forget to re-lube the bushing with bearing oils. Comm drop is not necessary, just use very little if you feel peace of mind of it. You can hear the motor is squeeking at half throttle. It's good.
The longer the break in, the faster the motor will be. This is typical condition for 540 motor. The motor is running faster and faster as it gets older. So you need to break in the motor between heats / finals. Don't forget to refresh the water if it become nasty.
Okay ?

He probably meant, what are some legal things he can do to "cheat" and get his car tiptop.
The literal translation is not too good.
Things he is asking about are probably: Breaking-in your bearings before installing them, with toothpaste. Simple Green on your tires, soap as a spur gear lubricant. Stuff like that.

How much "borderline" cheating or overt cheating goes on at most tracks. When does something pass from not ROAR legal to "cheating".
Is running a non-roar body, an underweight car, a 4 magnet stock motor, cheating?
I am not asking this as a rhetorical question. I have been to one ROAR sanctioned event and the Tech inspection seamed to be limited to height, weight and spot checking of motors without even taking the body off. The weighing was done in such a way that a driver could have easily added weight and then removed it before racing.
The parking lot races sponsered by the Hobby stores (or other non-Roar events)in this area have zero tech inspection.
I have no reason to believe there are intentional violations. One thing that made me a little suspicious, though; was checking out the times of some guys who ran in both stock and 19t. Their times were the same in both classes.
I am really not to concerned about the whole deal, I am being beat by better drivers. I am just curious about what the "understanding" of legal or cheating is at your track.

so to answer your question, when i race at my hobby people/parking lot races, my car is underweight (just like everyone elses) and people run whatever body they prefer. so its not really cheating because people arent taking it as seriously. now running a 19T armature in a stock can is cheating

Jesse, by looking at them you can't tell a difference between the J-Type and the older ones. They both have the wire configuration you mentioned. Lets put it this way: you've probabilly seen my box of Mabuchi motors at Trackside. I have 5+ year old motors. The 2 motors I got as handouts from this past nats...I obliterated them when I got home. There's still a dent in my work-room wall from where I just whiped the thing as hard as I could because it was such a POS.
