Default Parma PSE Foam Tires are here!!

Hey all,

I got to run a bunch of the new tires from Parma PSE tonight at practice. The sedan is a white dish rim whose inner diameter is bigger than TRC, but smaller than Jaco.

The Sedan tire is also very light. If you feel other companies rims-then the Parma-its noticeable. So less rotating mass.

I ran in Sedan the Cyan and Magenta. After 6 batteries and about 175 laps on carpet-my fronts only wore 0.05" and my rears 0.03" or 2.35" to 2.30" Thats not bad wear for a softer compound. I thought they had a lot of steering.

In 12th-I ran the Purple fronts and Grey rears. NO complaints. The rear tire needed about 1.5mm more shims to make ROAR max width-so thats cool. I added some shims and I was back to max width. This should really help when switching axles or hubs as you should always be able to keep the car under ROAR specs. The 12th rims look cool too. I'll try and post some pics tomorrow if I remember to take my cars to work.

HOpefully some PArma employees will chime in tomorrow for better specs and answer questions.

Ray

I have run them the last 2 nights out and they are really a nice tire. Quality GRP rubber and they are cheaper than their direct competition. Have your hobbyshop order some and hopefully they will pass the savings on to you!!!

Like Ray said, they are definately lighter than the Jaco tires that I was using.

well, as part of the unofficial parma test crew, i may as well chime in.

the new offerings from parma are pretty good. i felt like they gave my touring car a bit more steering on entry over my jacos, maybe from the slightly smaller orange ring. the wheel flex is apparent, but not like the new trc's which will fold in half w/o breaking. i also agree that the wear seemed better than the jaco counterparts, maybe due to the slighly larger contact patch allowed by the softer wheels.

still more testing to come, but i have a feeling we are going to see alot of these being run this winter. congrats to parma for keeping costs fair.

I hope to be testing mine tonight.

Both 10th & 12th..

Retail would be around $19, street price should less.

These tires are available as soon as your local hobby shop can get their order. AJ's hobbies at the "Gate" has quite a few pairs on the wall already.

Tower Hobby has them for 18.39 a pair. About 1.00 less then the Jaco.

Best looking 1/12th hoops! They'd be worth running just to look good.

First weekend out with the new tires was very successful! Since the fronts have a little less orange on the outside than competitors tires, Parma tires have more steering overall which allowed me to carry more speed through the corners as well as through chicanes and the esses. I was able to run full speed though a set of esses with only a flick of the steering whereas before I had to lightly lift to get the front tires to take a set. Now I could have changed setups but when I switched to Parma tires I did not have to. I am sold!!!!! Plus they are cheaper!!!!

These tires compliment the Parma Alfa exceptionally well!!!!!!!!
