Default My Grid/Gambado

Here are some pictures of my Grid fitted with BL system for next years TITC race.

The car has had some modifications to it and is fitted with Tamiya 5mm hexes.

Car also has spacers under the front and rear mounts to lower the ride height for the 60D size tyres. The ride Inch up tyres are mounted on a 2mm offset rim which is standard for these tyres.

The normal ABC bodies will have the tyres outside of the body if the standard 6mm hexes are used. I am considering trying some 4mm hexes to see if the car is stable with these fitted.

Later,

Calvin.

Nice looking Gambado Calvin. On your Ride inch ups, are you using the stock yellow inserts? Your Rides have a pretty flat tread profile. What compound are you using? SC36?

I like the "50 Cal" on you Monster Mini

The Ride Inch Ups are the 34 front and 32 rears. These have the standard foam insert. I have run the tyres on this car and my MO5 a number of times.

I have found the Ride Inch Ups Mc 38 front and Sc 36 rears not work very well on our low grip tracks. That is why I have the softer compound on my Grid.

By fitting these tyres I have been able to get the car setup using the larger tyres. The Ride Inch Ups are the control tyre for TITC next year.

I will have to get some 50 Cal stickers made up for the other car bodies. Jeff who painted the body shells made a mask for the monster mini shell. I might have to stick to the Southern Cross design on the roof.

Cheers,

Calvin.

someone mentioned that a second generation Grid was being released with a few improvements. Is this the case? And if so what are the changes?

Is this going to be in a kit or an option to update if you already have a Grid already? Carbon fiber only?

Anyone else playing with one of these?

We're building one up on RCSoup.com soon, and would love to get some setup tips, and possibly suggestions for electronics to run in it.

Thanks guys!

Thumbs up

Yes it is 210mm in chassis length. I purchased mine from ABC Hobby USA and had it shipped to Australia.

JetHobby now have some hopups available for the car which are a great replacement, especially for the motor mount which is a little thin. I bent one of these at TITC in Thailand in Feb of this year.

see this link:

I purchased these parts recntly and I do know that Perry Leung finished second iat this event using this car and the most of the Jethobby hobby parts.

Later,

Calvin.
