do you guys use the 3rd channel on the RX for the fan? and where do you get these fans? from dicksmith? and what is it? a computer fan?
and where do you measure temps on the ESC from the bottom or at the top etc.. ?

BT,

The fans can be purchased at hobby shops, I have the Much More ones.

But I believe some of the ones in PC video cards are 5volts, I haven't seen any other PC ones that are 5v. But I'm sure there are others. The ones at Dick Smiths and Tandy/radio shack are 12v and more expensive then the Much More ones from hobby shops and they are 5v.

BTW I'll have my Novak brushless at Keilor Sunday (if work permits) so you can checkit out.

36 degrees C is not a problem, I have raced in 45 degree C temp. and it's pretty bad but sometimes you just have to

We ran on the weekend past at Templestowe and it was fine and I think that got to 34degrees both days.

yes. I don't have any dicksmith fan, i just got it from an electronics supplier.
make sure it is a 5V fan. A 12V fan would just not be fast enough.

I also race in 40C+ temps...I gear my BL at 6.2 and usually if i cool it between runs it doesn't overheat.

hmm i fount these i like the blue one (bling bling) but it wouls prolly add more weight
40 mm is 1.574803 inches so it would fit perfect on the esc would a 6volt fan handle 7cells? i run those in my car
