Alright.....Filipow inspired me to hunt down the Evis thread and ask a musical question and where do I find it? Page three. PAGE THREE! Whats up with that?

Ok, here goes: Question: Who wrote the song "Mommy"? And how does the chorus go?

Looks to me like there are a number of songs entitled "Mommy"... you're going to have to be more specific

I have been very busy lately and have been unable to travel the world searching for new Santa Claus! Perhaps sometime soon I'll have some more time and energy for it!

Paz,

It looks to me as if that Futaba 2ER radio is an AM radio (at least from the pdf instructions that I was able to locate here: http://www.futaba-rc.com/manuals/2er-manual.pdf )

So unfortunately that 40 mHz FM XXL you have will not be compatible with this AM tranmitter.

Sorry about the bad news....

But thanks for bringing this thread to the front page!

Evicerator - I am really bad at parts of speech. Can you explain exactly what are Transitive and Intransitive Verbs? How about a Gerund? Last night I was at dinner with some friends and the topic of sentence structure came up...I felt so inadequate ...I slept through most of my 9th grade Grammar classes and I so regret it now.

A Transitive Verb is one that takes an object.

EG: He opened the door. ('Door' is the object of the action; it is affected by the operation.)

An intransitive verb is one that does not take an object.

EG: They arrived. (The verb does not require an object to complete it.)

A Gerund is a verb when it acts as a noun; gerunds can act as the subject or object of a main verb.

EG: Studying is good for you.

Thank you Evicerator you have enlightened me as usual.

What about dangling participles? I don't get those at all.

What is the concept behind copular verbs?

One question? The previous reply is from the top of your head right? You would cite the source document you had copied and pasted from if you had done so, correct? Plagiarism is the dark side
