The GTX has lower on resistance than the GT7... which means that it should be faster than that GT7. Most people have also reported that the GTX throttle response, while smoother, also yeilds more punch than the GT7.

The GTX also has built in schottky diode protection... so for most applications an extra schottky diode on the motor will not be neccessary. If you are using the brakes alot or are running a VERY low turn modified you might want to run an extra schottky on the motor just as a precaution...but I run 7 turns without an extra schottky most of the time.

Well that's great. I seldom use brake and run mostly stock so I should be okay. How about the capacitor? Does it come with one in the box?

Are the speed controls smaller than the power caps yet...lol! I haven't seen a GTX up close.

I think they're about the same size actually. The Speedo maybe a little taller. when the cap is laying on it's side.

2BAD4ALL - Oviously you have no idea what your talking about...so you don't want to go there. My post was a honest question not a knock on Novak for using power caps. I really havent seen a GTX up close and I didn't know how big it was. I know how big a power cap is so it was a good reference for size.

Bob Novak is a class act and his company makes oustanding products. Keyence, LRP, KO, GM and Hara (did I miss any) also make great speedos.

Go somewhere else if you want to start a X is better than Y argument. This thread is all about having fun and general BS.

Man...I hate it when my socks get bunched up up under my toes in my shoes. You can't just wiggle you toes to fix them either. You have to take your darn shoes off.
