BigB11,

I don't think that you will have anything to worry about speedwise with our new 1/18 system!

Steve!!! Sorry I couldn't make it to run with ya Saturday. It got messy at my house Friday night. 3 of the drunkest people I've ever seen, (one was my wife) and a poker game that went until past 2:30. I just couldn't drag my ass out of bed early enough.

Anyway, have a merry Christmas!

Hi Steve,

Glad to hear from you even with Christmas round the corner.

I will try it again. Will update you after Christmas after I've done some testing. Thanks.

Resetting the ESC to factor defaults is easy... simply re-do the one-touch setup!

If none of this works I recommend sending it in to us for us to take a look at!

Hello Steve

I just got a Novak GTB/13.5 system, and after my first run the fan on the ESC was not working. I took the fan off the esc to have a look, and it appears to be binding on something. I can get it going with a nudge, but it runs slow and the bottom of the fan gets quite hot.

Any suggestions? Can I run my GTB without the fan?

Most do not use the fan with a 13.5 motor. Unless you are really off the mark on your gearing... the 13.5 shouldn't cause the GTB to get so hot that it requires use of the fan.

Yep, those clear plastic fans can just be disconnected or removed. The ESC will not get hot enough for a 10.5 or 13.5 BL Motor. If you still want to run a fan, get Novak's 25mm Black Fan. These will work just as well, if not better, and the blades on the fan won't get broken very easy either.

Hey Miccal,

Sorry about the delay in answering you... been a busy last few days!

We always recommend running the fan on the ESC regardless of the application: A cooler ESC is a better running ESC...but in most cases with a 13.5 the system will not generate too much heat and you'd more than likely be safe running without it.

If you would like another fan sent to you you can PM me your address and I can try to have one sent to you.
