What would you recommend as a starting gear ratio for a 4.5 six cell??

Thanks Bryan

Hey Steve,

Getting ready to dip my toe into the TC waters again (musta been that blow to the head...)

I was searching for 10.5 gearing info and everything is expressed as FDR which would be great if I was running rubber tires, but I'll be on foams. Does anyone in TC do roll-out? I'll be running on carpet GTB/10.5 with 120' straight end board to end board (100' apex to apex).

1/12 / 10.5 recommendation same track?

Mark,

Just do the one touch setup and the default ESC setup will work just fine for you.

As far as gearing goes I'd start out with a 11.0 final drive ratio and monitor your temperatures and go from there!

In a touring car?

On medium sized tracks I would usually run around a 9.4 or so.

I don't know how big your track is though!

Hey Scottrik,

Yeah, all the carpet guys work in rollouts... I believe most guys are running 31-32 mm rollouts and up.

As far as 1/12 goes I want to say the last time I ran I ran about 35-37 mm rollout? I know it's a big spread but at least it gives you a starting point.

Ok,

At crystal park, which is a big local 1/8 onroad track I ran 8.2 with a 4.5 with the standard sintered rotor. So gearings in the 8's are permissable for larger tracks.

If you are using the 13.0 mm rotor you need to gear taller as well, usually 2 teeth taller on the pinion than with the 12.3 mm rotor.

Glad you're happy with that Syndrome!

I've been pushing to get more "customizable/cool" stuff available for a while now...
