Maybe Vegas. Kristen and I are flying out for Hawaii next Monday and won't be back until Tuesday the next week. (The day everyone's heading to Vegas) But i may hop on a plane Saturday morning and come hang out for the weekend.

Steve, is this while looking at the motor from the solder tab/timing ring end? If so I thought turning the ring counter clockwise advanced the timing?

Whoops!

You're right... I must be getting skatterbrained at my old age or something!

While looking at the back side of the motor (with the Novak on the cap)

Turning the ring counter clockwise will advance the timing!

Turning the ring clockwise will retard the timing!

Chumanji,

With the bonded rotor we recommend about a 7.5 gear ratio.

Running with a sintered rotor can be geared taller... probably to about 6.5 or so.

For those of you asking about our 1/18th scale brushless system:

Enjoy!

I will be able to answer some questions about the system... but alot of things are still under development and not finalized!

So with timing, what actually moves? From what I remember, the who endbell moves... but is the degree of timing measured by an angle created by the brushes?

I could probably google this, but if you guys don't mind explaining the physical timing to me, that'd be great. I know once i get the physical part I'll understand the effects.
