Thanks,

Eric,

You can purchase one of our double-ended sensor harness cables... you might be able to splice the wires from that onto your motor if you don't want to send the motor in for replacement!

What's the deal with the drag brake settings on the XBR...?
It only goes from 3-18%...

The GTB goes from 10-50%

The SS+ goes from 25-65%...

WHASUP?

Hey tfrahm,

We have been slowly fine tuning the drag brake values in the ESCs as we change other aspects of the motors and ESCs to make them more drivable and adjustable.

The original GTB and SS+ escs had drag brake adjustability in 5% increments and in higher values for use with bonded rotors.

As we moved to sintered rotors we found that the 5% increments were generally too large and we wanted to tweak the end points of that adjustment a bit.

Thanks Steve -- That makes a lot of sense. I was just caught off guard by the change and couldn't understand why -- until NOW... Having just "converted" my original 13.5 from bonded to sintered (running it with a GTB), I noticed the big change in impact of the rotor on the drag brake settings...

Thanks again for taking the time to respond...

Shookie,

I know!

I dropped my car off at the dealership Friday morning to get some stuff looked at and they needed to hold it until yesterday afternoon... I wanted to make sure I was able to get my car back so I had to just sit around and wait for it...

I would have loved to have been out there racing!

Thanks Chris!

So here's my latest dilema:

Elite 360... or hold out for the falcon...??

"Falcon" is the code name for the project to migrate the 360 to 65 nm architechture from the 90 nm...

*supposedly* the 65 nm stuff should run cooler/more reliably...and yeild a smaller cheaper unit eventually...

Purportedly they are supposed to be shipping sometime this fall...

So would it be wise to drop $400 on a new elite when a more reliable version might be right around the corner...?

ahhh. i get it. dude.. just buy it at walmart. look at mine, running smoothly like a brushless motor. (*knock on wood)

seriously though.. thats a tough decision. although if you bought an elite, you can play now. when the falcon comes out, im sure you can sell the elite 360 and make some money back.
