GT7 Profiles: Probably either profile 6... if that is too hard on your motor try profile 5.

GTX: Profile 1 will be the most aggressive..if this is too hard on your motor try profile 2.

Good Question!

It's because if they were not tied together you could get a situation like this:

You adjust your minimum brake to 5%

You have your drag brake set to 20%

When you let off the throttle your ESC will apply 20% of maximum braking force.

When you move to push brake, the ESC would appl 5% of maximum braking force... LESS brake than at neutral...so your car would actually have less brake than at neutral...it would sort of "run away" from you.

is there a thread for the Novak 10.5 brushless? i did a search for "10.5" and it yielded nothing.

also... what kind of FDR would you recommend for the 10.5 at Tamiya?

Hehehe gotta watch out for the zoom man

I usually recommend to start out at 5.5... I think some of the guys running it there ran 5.4 or 5.3 this weekend though.
