I gonna try and race at SoCal Saturday, if I can get out of work early. Hopefully there will be a MOD class.

Super Steve;

At a local club ive started to attend, some racers are wanting to use the brushless motors to eliminate the maintainance and other issues affected with normal brushed motors, as well as helping with runtime as they run an endurance race of 8 minutes.

However some people are opposing the idea because they believe that the brushless systems will be faster. I had no problems with the idea, i believe that a tuned stock motor will be just as quick as a brushless when geared right and coupled with good cells, but its a democracy and im not sure how many people will go for the idea.

Now i know with the 4300 the performance is similar to a brushed motor, but some members were wanting to use the new system (GTB?) so they can run brushless, but if they go to another meeting they can use a brushed motor no problem. Is there a rev limiter or performance limiter which can be used with this speed control or is there anything you can suggest to allow them to run alongside standard brushed motors at a similar performance?

Thanks!

(And where can i get some of those orange shorts! )
