Steve- You'll never know how close I came to running out of fuel last night on the return trip to LA (from Stockton). Let's see...10 pm...45 degrees....elevation 4000 feet...total darkness...the dead center of the Grapevine...not an exit in sight....I will say that thankfully, the downhill descent exiting the Grapevine allowed me to practically COAST into a gas station. I refueled with 14.015 gallons of fuel in a car that officially holds 14 gallons!!!!! YIKES.

What a close call...reminds me of a Seinfeld epidsode...ahahha.

Lets see, get out the calculator, fuel tubing dia cross section times length + 14 gallons x miles per gallon........hmmmm looks like you had enough fuel left to get you to......Watts. Ohhhhh, that sounds like a good time on a saturday night!

Some people are like a Slinky .. not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs.
