Guys,

I have the first version of the Xray XII not the "link" version. Can I install this conversion kit on the older version, too?

thanks for info.

This is what you'll need for a t bar version of the car. Just went through and knowing what you need from an xray 12 link car and what the t bar exploded veiw does not have, I put together the list. I didn't bother with hardware.

XRA373090 pivot socket
XRA371190 side links
XRA303241 pivot balls
XRA376360 Standoffs
XRA373590 plastic spacer
XRA376350 Graphite antenna holder (or not if you don't intend to use normal battery position)

So, I need these parts to fully complete the conversion together with the SpeedMerchant kit?

Is this all or will I need something else?

Thanks,

No, that list is what you need if you have a Xray T-bar car !
You don't need anything when you have a Xray Link car.

How are the rear axles from Xray holding up these days ?

I have to say, the car ran great. I built the car at the track on Thursday and was able to get 2 practice runs on it. I tried to make changes with every run, and the car got better every time. Can't wait to run it on carpet. Thanks again Bruce, see you in Vegas!

Just got the conversion set. Whar would be a good start-setup. Sidesprings, sidedampertubes, centerdamper etc.

My current Xray set-up, so what need to be changed with the SM conversion:
DbPink front
Pink rears
Active caster 7,5 degrees
Total caster 3,0 degree
Standard hight steeringblock
Composite pivot ball's in the steering block with 10.000
Gold Xray front spring (soft, c=3,5)
No shims on top of and beneath steedringblock
No bracebar
Centerdamper with 600 and black spring, std. piston and std. mounted
Drop rearpod 1 mm (0 mm when loaded)
350 in sidedamper
0.022 (hard) SM springs
Front width +0.5 mm each side
Rear 171 mm
4,5T motor and Nosram Pearl Evo v2 speed control

Technical track with 1 highsppedcorner, long straight, 6 tight corners and 3 mediumspeed corners. Medium grip.

Kind regards; Jens

On my Xray chassic I have Ran the Lipo 3,7 V (Nosram) in "normal" position - acros in the rear in the "front" position.

I intend in my new SM conversion chassis to ran it in-line in left side 8servi is mounted to the right).

By the way, the track is an indoor carpet track (as described above) ... about 105 m long ... eguilant about 320 feet

Kind regards; Jens
