TRC's always chunk?
I've had a problem lately with my trc's chunking on my 1/12 scale. The chunks are mostly on the inside of the tire. I CA glue the sidewall of the tire all the time and I've only been able to get about 2 weeks out of a set of fronts.

Seriously though, the only thing that causes chunks is contact with the boards and other cars. since your just starting it's ineveitable that you'll go through foams like mad. There really isn't much you can do besides concentrating harder on your line and avoiding hard collisions.

on 12th scales, when u hit something head on, the front of the body flexes and causing the fender to slice ur foams, what i did to me L3 is i made a foam bumper just enough to put the body over it. now when i hit something head on, the bumper stops most of the flex and not allowing the fender to touch my front tires.
