Default Carpet from Snowbirds.....

What happens to the carpet after the snowbirds? Is it just thrown out or is it recycled?

BeatupTC3,

I talked to Mike Boylan (the guy who puts it on every year) and he told me that the carpet is sold to somebody every year.

just wondering, because if it still has like 10% of life in it after the races, and they were to just throw it out, i would want it to put down maybe in someones huge garage just to have some fun on carpet.

Actually Kat, the carpet from 2003 went to MDI racing. Call Mike Boylan, if you want to buy previos years carpet, I bet he still has some.

I wouldnt doubt that, those cars were having the crap beaten out of them by the bumps, it didnt look like the track was "stretched" to well for the 04' races (from a spectators standing point) Maybe one day i can have my own carpet track.... one day im still to young yet, i have my whole life ahead of me
