Old TC Cars - Still Racing Competitively
#76
I have a TC3 & TC4 (not currently running) and an Xray T2 008. I love the Xray and it seems to run well with the basic Kit setup.

I have a Xray T2'09 (not super old) and a T3'12. I am faster with the T2 for some reason.

I can sometimes scrape into the A in qualifying with my 6 year old 415msxx at my local club races (and get lapped a few minutes into the final by most of them ), but getting the TC3 to show up some newer rides is another level, keep at it!

No Parts
I picked up a Corally RDX a couple of years ago to jump into the VTA class. Life happened and I didn't get a chance to run it until late last year. And when I did I put her in 17.5TC. She felt amazing. They all run the best before they break. I clipped a wall and broke a front A-arm. I had some spare parts to get her fixed. But I soon found out that there was not much left out there. I even called Corally USA in Florida to check for better availability. Long story short. I now have two VBC Wildfires. One for 17.5TC and one for VTA.

Old dog still going strong!
This is my Tamiya TB02. It was my first TC I bought used last year about this time to start racing onroad. I raced her in GT3 up until recently when she was replaced by a TC6.1 Worlds as head baby.
In the pics was how she looked before her overhual and repower in preparation for VTA use. I have fitted her with a spur gear adapter so I can now run 64P gears and have a wider range of gear ratios. I also modified the Tamiya aluminum motor mount to allow for wider pinion use.

I just picked up a Yokomo YR4 M2 Type J Pro. So far I love it, a little scared to drive it, but I love it. I'm debating between using this or my TC5 as my VTA and the other one being the drift car. Who ever remembers that old Yoke please chime in an let me know what ya think.
