Hey everyone-

James- i forgot to tell you that i use the old style Associated front end. .020 front springs and 1 or 2 degrees caster now. Up until the 4 qualifier of the Halloween Classic i was running 3 degrees but with the info from Mr. Gerber Jr. i changed it down to 1 degree to make clearance with the smaller tires and found it turned in better which i liked. At AJ's last Saturday i started with 1 degree and migrated to 2 degrees caster and loved it so i think i will run 1 degree on smaller tighter tracks like RSJ and 2 degrees at bigger tracks like AJ's. For camber i have the Parma PSE shim set but i find that my camber wears correctly (tires wear even) with nothing installed. I can't remember for sure but i think the stock blocks give me either 1 or 1.5 deg. of negative camber.

Bob Barry- Let's hook up if you are going to the NORRCA Nats in OH at Josh's track next week. I plan on leaving around 4am Thursday morning.

Anyone else going to the NORRCA Nats?

If Jason ever sends me my car I'll have one too. Electronics for it on the other hand...

Dave, can we expect some sub-9 second laps from you at RSJ?

maybe some of the oval guys can chime in on this one. i would assume that since a truck is a bit heavier, you would want to have like purple front, magenta rears??

Default tires

I am toying with different heights right now, and just received my order. Thanks Tony, I will give them a whirl and let you know. Right now I am running in the 59mm range, liking that the most. Cyan/magenta, and also the newest is the Plaid 2/magenta. Testing will resume tommorrow. Good luck guys.

Back from the NORRCA Nats at Josh's track (Halo Hobbies). First off i want to thank Josh and his Wife, Dave and his Dad, Joe, Dave J. and the rest of the Crew for an awesome learning experience that was a lot of fun. Halo Hobbies is absolutely terrific and i plan on going back to run there as soon as possible, the track and everything about it is first rate and absolutely beautiful.

Tested double blacks and they were smooth, they may be a tire to try in 12th stock or TC Stock when the grip really comes up and cars are flipping but mod needs more steering it seems to me. Anyone else have test info on these?

Tested Blacks at this race (it seems to me that the grip was the highest i have been on in two years). Very smooth but really seemed to like the middle of the groove in modified. Another possible great tire for 12th stock and i know that the TC Stock guys love this one.

Started off running the tried and true Purple fronts but they didn't get in enough for me and off of the center of the groove they needed more at this race so i went to Magentas after the 3rd qualifier with a glued outside edge... Loved them.

Still didn't get to the P3's but now that i think about it the P2's may have been great to try. I'll let everyone know after this Saturday what they do now that we have the CRC Carpet and can get mega traction.

Anyone else test some stuff or have a good weekend of racing?
