14.0mm 13.5mm rotors .... are they good for on road racing ?
Hi guys .... i am new in rc on road electric racing .... i dont have enough knowledge about on road electric motor.
I am shopping for brushless motor 13.5T ...... is it okay to use 13.5 novak crawler 14mm rotor ? My reasons : I can gear it lower and motor will not lose its torque ( magnet power ) during race.
I would like to hear people recommendations and suggestions for the best 13.5T racing motors available in market right now.
The cars in mention are Xray T4 2014 4WD and Top Racing Sabre FD2 FF.

The novak 12.5mm tuning rotor has way more than enough torque for touring cars... You can gear your 13.5t (12.5mm rotor) in the 3.9fdr range on medium carpet tracks.......

Tim smith of 167mph speed run fame swears the secret to speed is 13-14mm rotors. So u can run huge gearing but still have low end.I could really see this benefitting if you have a long straight or straights and a tight infield. I just ordered 13mm rotors for both my d3.5s to test it out. However check your local rules tuning rotors may be illegal. Luckily my local track doesn't outlaw them or d3.5s
