Nice job Hector!! We just got an indoor asphalt track up here but you have to run a carpet set up as there is a ton of grip.

I'm going to try your set up but with the thick chassis to cope with the serious traction. Did I mention that this track is sticky.

Bob--No receiver pack You flying fossils are strange And I do mean flying. Your TC is seriously fast. I'm afraid that your going to beat me in 19t TC at RC Screwz.

I hope to be bouncing off the boards after Cleveland (as long as I don't have to wrench on anymore cars). also could you e mail me some pics of your Q12 when you get it together please??????
will we see you at Halo this season???? I think we will be down every Satuday I can get off.

Thanks
Hey Tim,

It's good to hear from ya. No problem on the help with the KO. I ended up acquiring another one to replace my broken twister, so I have a ton of setups depending on motor and track conditions. The setting adapter never leaves my pit box.

I'll send ya the pics as soon as I get the car together. I will be running a reciever pack. I am gonna try and get it as close to 28oz as possible. With everything in my L4 the car is 27.8oz.

I am gonna try and hit Lansing and Halo for carpet and RcScrewz for asphalt this year. The screwz track is 10 minutes from my house. It is about an hour for Lansing and Josh's place. I am gonna ask the guys, James and Bob, if we can get down to Halo this weekend. I wanna test the car out on the rug compared to the blacktop.

Talk to ya soon.

Tim

I want to chime in here on the weight issue.

Our 'fast' guy is running a stock L4 and my friend that has a Q12 can easily run with him. We have not wieghed both of thier cars, but I would bet the L4 is a tad lighter, but on the track it is not noticable.

What I can say, is that, the Q12 handles better than the L4, as I have driven both. I have driven an L4, Rev 3, and Rug Rat, and the Q12 is by far the best handling. The better handling makes up for the 1oz weigth difference.. again, this is my opinion

Tim wants to get his weight down for stock as that is what he primarily runs. In mod 1 oz. won't make a difference because you have the power to overcome it.

Ray- www.rcscrewz.com

The place is real nice. If he holds a big race it would be well worth the 3 hours it takes to get there from Cleveland. 1/12 mod on asphalt is a lot of fun.

Bob,
With the Team chassis, old style front end and CEFX body, my car weighs 28.4 oz. This is without any extra effort to remove weight like beveling the chassis. Just sanded and sealed. I'm also carrying a little extra weight with the side spring set up that I'm currently testing.

I will have Tony weigh his car to see where his is weight wise. We both have the small KO recievers, Q2 speedos, and the same wire setup, and same body..
