Default OFNA DM-1 Spec 1/8th Brushless

Hello,

I have a brand new DM-1 kit with the tekno brushless conversion. I have chosen the Tekin RX8 ESC but need help on the best KV tekin motor to go with it. I have heard the the 1700kv motor with proper gearing has given best performance for GT racing. Any suggestions would be helpful. They also have the 2050, 2250, and 2650 but I have not raced these cars yet so not sure of the best configurations.

I will post pictures and videos once I get this going but need to finish getting my motor and gearing perpared to get this started.

First off! Great choice on car! The DM-1 Spec is the car to have! And the tekno conversion kit puts the icing on the cake! Me and my buddy race with 2250kv motors and 4 cell 5000mah lipos. They seem to be very effective and the lightest setup to have. Our temps haven't gotten over 130 degrees yet! Some people like to run lower kv motors to keep temps much lower, but use a higher cell count like 5 or even 6 cell to keep the speed up. Visit tekno's website. They have a chart that'll help you pick out the right kv motor. Here's a little clip of us practicing and tuning:
