which shaft?
hi,
I'm in a market for a new TC and decided to choose a shaft drive car. Need some opinions to decide between Pro4, R3 or R2, CGM and FT TC3. All this car has the support from my lhs, so parts will be no problems. Just need something that low maintainence and agile but not fragile..!!

hey dude, I thought you were moving out of the game?I was the one who looked at your RClab.
Anyway, i'd say get the CGM. It's cheaper and is better all round than CF decked chassis'.I don't think you'd be willing to wait any longer for the TC4 eh? Plus I can tell you that AE parts are at least 20% more expensive than Yokomo or HPI where we live.

Your choice is really limited to 2 cars.......on all counts.
The only 2 cars with a tub chassis are the Yoke CGM and the TC3 or 4. Ever seen a real race car with a flat bed chassis ? So why should an RC car be any different.
Both Yoke and AE have more International wins and world championships to their name than any of the others you mention.
Coincidentally just yesterday I was talking to a very knowledgeable and respectable person in the RC trade, who incidentally sells all the cars you mention, so he will not be biased. He said exactly the same.
Of course if all you want is bling......without the performance and success of Yokomo or Associated, there's always the Barracuda.
Results all over the world prove what I am saying, and so have most of the guys who have offered their suggestions here before me.

TC4
Hi,
I would go for the TC4!
Asso is making cars off such a high level that you can't go wrong with it.
They have tested the car that many so it will be fine right out of the box!
Go TC4!
