SpeedTech: Do you think you will soon release a motor mount which can hold also the shaft in order to reduce the chance of stripping spur gears? Or have you ever encountered this problem in the latest R2? Thanks!

Hi Fai,

I think for 48P gears, you'll be fine, for 64P gears, you might want to consider the aluminum shaft holder option. I think Alex Racing will have their own line of aluminum hop-ups for the R2.

Thanks

Hi Fai...

The R2's shaft supports are a little bit more beefy than the R1 ...plus the Spur addaptor is a little bit more stronger too

But I'm sure that someone here in the near future will make a shaft holder/motor mount so you guys can use 64P spurs..But I think that 48P does the job just fine

I see. Thanks! Steve, I've bought the new Yokomo diaphragm+sponge pack but I found they don't fit the original caps! I can put the diaphragm into the cap but can't screw it into the damper body! Have you tried this?

JDM: However, HK racers seem to give up running Barrcuda and swapping to other cars... I still haven't seen a R2 running on track...

Hi Guys,

I just contacted Japan last night, and the parts will be shipped out either today or tomorrow, which means we should have it by the end of next week.

Here's the good news, because of the overwhelming popularity of the car, Alex Racing has decided to try and make another small quick production run, so hopefully by around next week we will have more kits coming in

Thank you all for reading!

Steve Wang
