ther is a new car called X-PLOSION from triox (a german brand)
it looks like a alex barracuda r2 or not?

thx
sry for my bad english

1st thing that car in that German link is a "Alex Racing Barracuda"

2nd ... Speedway PAL is a indipendent comapy that makes High Quality Revamped or updated versions of Alex Racings cars..

Kai..?? That is a aftermarket compay called K-Modles that produces some awesome Carbonfiber masterpieces for chassis parts.. so basicaly I run a Kai chassis on my Barracuda..but it has a few small things done to refine the handeling and balance

Hope this helps ya'

"Today is it so far!!!! TRIOX presents a new route car on the Nuernberger play goods fair! " translation of the first few lines on their webpage...very interesting.....this could be like Trinity renaming the hop up V1R as "reflex"...they could be OEM from Alex and market it as their own products...as it's in germany this market could be targetting the European countries...

JDM: will this limit your Cuda's downtravel to some extend?? For example, cannot go further than 3mm downtravel.... Thanks!!

Dynoman007: Instead of your suggestions, I saw at Kai's website that they used the tamiya dampers intstead of original air-mixture type dampers... I'm looking forward trying myself...

Lightbulb Nope

I actually I have more down travel... but I laid the shocks down 1 more notch and ...also I'm not using the stock Cuda shocks anymore.. I'm using the HotBodies one's Same ones that come with the Pro3 Hara Ed.

Plus I run a pretty stiff oil in my shocks so I really don't have any problems with the Cuda bottoming out

Those picture on that site are kind of Old ... I saw the owners Barracuda about 5 months ago at Yatabe Arena and he has swiched back to the PAL/Comet shocks...now on the other hand the new TFR Shocks the Ti ones ....seem to be the hot ticket ... I might have to try them out on my CE-4 Peace Ark

JDM_DOHC_SiR. I've rebuilt the rear diffs a number of times because of the grittiness after the usual wear and tear on the Barracuda.

I always use new diff plates and new diff balls (1/8") every time. The grittiness is of course gone each time I build a new diff. But there is a kind of unsmooth feel to it each time. I just measured the depth of the balls' housing in the diff gear slots with a caliper.

To my surprise the depth is a little bit over 1/8". That is, the slots are deeper than the balls. I suspect that the diff plates are not fully riding on the balls and could lead to the problem I'm experiencing. I've rebuilt diffs on other cars many times. The Barracuda rear diff is just not as smooth as others. Has anyone had my problems?
