JDM-just wondering if the offset ball head that is on yur bud's car iwas install the correct way....shouldnt the hex shaped thng be on the chassis???os is it installed the way it is for ease of adjustment??
No they put them on that way for 2 reasons
1) If hit really hard the ball wont pop off.
2) you can adjust the hex head easier when it's on top

Hope this helps

JDM-if installed that way do i need to put some spacers under the ball head coz the arms will hit the chassis...not sure though will try it later...but i think surely u need to put spacer on it coz difference of arm height when installing the ball head that way

Talking .5mm or .75mm spacer

Yes you should use a .5mm~.75mm spacer....but you can use larger if you want a lower roll center..

Cool 1/8 inch or 2mm play is best

it should have about this much play in the shaft..just in case you get into a "SMALL" crash

There is one important reason for inverting the ball heads - you can lower your roll-centre by mounting the hex on top since the arms will be lowered. I saw one driver (expert) installed this way at his front arms. I haven't tried myself but his car is really rocket!!!!

This car has tons of setting parameters. Hence lots of fun (or troublesome).

I read through the setting sheet of the champion of JMRCA 23T: he inverted all eight hex balls upside-down, and then placed 0.5mm shims under the front balls of front A-arms and front balls of rear A-arms!

Diva, does the expert set it in this way??
