I am really interested in the Barracuda. These are my questions:

1. How does it compare to the TC3 and the Evo 1/2/3?
2. What are the "must have" hop ups for the car?
3. Why change to short arms? Isn't long arms better?

Well The TC3 is really a good shaft carfrom the start ..so is the EVO series...But in Japan.. the Barracuda does very well against the TC3... about the same following for shaft driver's over here ..as far as the EVO's.??? not to may in my neck of the woods here in Japan.. But the EVOIII might do quite well.?? Time will tell after the 15th of Dec..

2. What are the "must have" hop ups for the car?
For starters... the 2 Big ones are the SUS Arms by PAL or Square and Drive shaft motor mount kit buy One Flag or Square.. also it would be a good idea to get the Aluminum shaft holders for the front and rear bulk heads too

3. Why change to short arms? Isn't long arms better?
Well the Cuda' comes with some really flexable Sus Arms' so it needs some help in this area from the start.. ..But either set up will work just fine..the Speedway PAL arms or the Square Nylon ones.... Much better feeling car when you upgrade this item

But the thing that makes this Car a seller in my book is that its so damn easy to work on.. easy to get to every thing!!! unlike working on my Pro3 Hara Edition...!!

jdm_sohc_sir: thanks for the info. so if i ever buy one, i also need to get new suspension arms, motor mount, and al. shaft holders? why change the stock motor mount? what is its flaw?

also, how tough is the car on the track? i have a pro2 and hara pro3 which are quite indestructible...i would not want to have a tc3/yoke kind of breakage problem. thanks again.

Hi All,

I'm trying not to go off topic here.
But....

I understood that the Alex CE-4 (a car which I really have a soft spot for, but because of no parts-supply never bought) was a force to be reckoned with in Japan.

How does it compare with all the Barracuda versions out there nowadays? (handling power strength of parts)

Also which of the Barracuda versions does have what kind of advantage over the other.
Please try not to explain the kit differences, but rather what these difference do on-track for you!
Do you notice the differences?!

pfew a lot of questions alltogether.
