Just so you guys know, I own one of Ko's old cars, and it is just as described by him.

Rocketron's stuff is awesome too, he definately knows what he's doing, been in the hobby a long time, and is a great guy.

I don't think a pic will do it's justice. We all know how well you've kept your cars. Ill PM you since I'm looking for another one. Not trying to follow Randy's footstep by all means.

The track system arrived at 5pm so we didn't get to use it because it needs a bit of prep work, like sticking the velcro pads to it so it locks together. Should be all singing and dancing by next week though
Racing was ok for the first week back to it, although the lower heats were messier than ever. I spent most of the night wondering why my car was so slow out of corners, going down so far on the pinion that I could barely mesh the gears I ended up with 21/70, which seems about right as any bigger on the pinion and the motor gets too hot, and the Matrix V10R doesn't like getting hot, it's a revvy little sucker. I think the motor must be very dirty inside after running at Falkirk, since I still couldn't keep up with the top three guys at all.
I ended up going one spring rate softer all round to get some corner grip, moved the rear mounting positions in one hole top and bottom, thank god I bought the quick change upper shock mounts I can get them off with just undoing one nut, just takes moving the suspension to the right spot. Car is pretty nicely balanced but I may go another step softer all round again, see if I can get even more grip and corner speed. Nice to have a proper range of springs that all fit perfectly, counting coils isn't too tricky either.
Qualified 4th in the A final and finished 2nd as two ahead of me had problems where they lost a couple laps. Hopefully I'll give them more of a challenge next week with a clean motor, some more decent voltage batteries will help too instead of just the two I have now.

I finally got to see pictures of Ko's Web Special, all I can say is "Oh my god!". That car is almost too damn pretty to even think of setting down on a carpet track, it would be very hard for me to even think of setting that car down on pavement. His car almost looks like an engineering one off model stored in some designers showcase, Smithsonian maybe.

After going to further in shock mounting positions on the rear I noticed how big a problem the long shock bodies are, at one point I has about a milimeter of up travel on the shock until it hit the bottom, not good. It certainly looks like shorter bodies are next on my list. Just wondering if you guys still use the inner spacer on the rear shocks, like the manual has, to limit down travel, when using shorter bodies on the rear.

It's such a silly problem, it owuld be much easier if Alex Racing just used the shorter bodies all round, makes no sense really. Would be a good idea if Steve asked them to change the spec for his kits wink wink Steve

Don't worry Hermi' the Japanese have allready made the comment to ALEX Racing about it.. haahaaha ... I think that the newer kits will have the shorter bodies..?? not 100% sure thought

.. and for hte shocks.... I have never used the "STUPID" spacers in the instructions... thats why they make droop screws for..

save your self the hastle and 86 them
