Basically I worked on spring combos all night, the car is good, but there is an understeer with the brushless motor that is impossible to get out. Dave got somewhat of a fix last night, but I'll be joining the tuning race too, and hopefully we can get this car dialed

I only have 1 set of shims, so I'm ordering another set right now, I want them to still be at the same height... Although the new setup may include some anti-squat...

If you're having problems with the brushless letting the car freewheel into corners so much and causing understeer, have you tried the handy trick of braking?

On a more serious side, I have my speedo set up so there is practicly no drag brake when the throttle is at neutral, there is basicly a notch or two of throttle trim up. I do get understeer when off powere but put the power on and the front hooks up again, or if you going fast into a slow corner then use those magical brake thingy's then I use the on power steering to make it around the corner

I have been using the brakes... a lot, but I really dont like using them, I want to get the car setup so that I can go neutral into the corners, not hit the brakes.

The setup I liked so much on Monday, really good for powering around hairpins Droop settings need working on but I didn't have the time, possibly could be used to get rid of some off power understeer, initial turn in is nice but between that and mid corner it will drift wide if you try carrying too much speed off power. CS22's will have helped but mine are knackered and have unbalanced the car in the past making the rear step out.

That setup is fairly close to what I was running yesterday. You might want to try 5mm ride height all around. You're running high in the front, and low in the back, if the car is pushing, you're transfering too much weight to the rear tires, reduce that by changing the ride height.

I wish we had more caster blocks to chose from, a 8-10 degree block might solve our understeer problem...

The front is heigh because I'm using RC Lab pinks springs up front, they are a little too long, and 5.5 is the lowest I can get
Got Alex Racing springs on the way now from Steve
The rear is low because, well I didn't have a ride height gauge with me and I kept lowering it tiny amount to gain stability at Stonehaven

I just ordered a few more sets of springs from Steve as well, I'm close to the whole connection You might want to try some rear anti-squat, and front kickup as well to help that understeer. I'll be testing all of that next week.

you must have stolen the second pair of 6.50x1.4mm springs I wanted then I should have plenty to play with for now though...

moving indoors now so not much chance to play with that setup, time to see how it goes on the wooden floor again....

I ordered the 6.5x1.4 some time ago, so I'm guessing someone else stole that pair from ya

Very little drag brake is not the right phrase, more like no drag brake anywhere to be seen. Seriously, even with the motor in the car, when I spin the tires, they go for 3 secs...

On that note, I spun my tires yesterday, and Dave got a 16 count of the transmission, definately smoooooth
