According to Alex racing site, beginning to middle of Dec.
Conversion kit will be out middle of this month.
17800 yen.
Major difference between Pal and Alex version is position of
battery and motor. It is opposite, Pal version is like TC3. Also design of main and upper deck is different. upper deck does not connected with steering linkage so that when upper deck is flexing, it does not affect steering. Other hop ups, aluminum battery holder spelled "PAL", aluminum
center shaft holder, double front one way(heavy duty), adjustable dumper units.
Hope these helps.

I think people in this forum has mentioned Hong Kong outlet in the past.
http://controlcentre.rctech.net
http://shopping.rcmodel.com.hk/eshopping/default.htm

Usually shipping is around $20-30 to US.

I think Rainbow Ten is a only outlet that I know in Japan.
Usually they are retail price.

Good luck.

types of SUSPENSION ARM

Wich is the diferrence betwen the two types of suspension arms from Comet:

6505 BARACCUDA HARD SUSPENSION ARM
6110 BARACCUDA SUSPENSION ARM

The last one is the same that comes with the car, the other one is nore strong??? dois it come like the original ones (1 fron 1 rear)???

Do you think that the stabilizer is a must?? wich one soft, medium or strong.

Which are the bests inserts for the sores 28???

Thank a lot.

Wink Sorex 28's

I use Hpi Red inserts with Sorex 28's really good in the winter..

As far as the sus arms go.... . the 6505's must be new..?? But I would get those if they are Harder.. the arms that come stock with the Barracuda ...are to flexable.. ...I never did use them... I use the Square front and rear arms that are pretty "BEEFY" but they also cost a grip ... But now Speedway PAL has a short arm coversion that uses the Graphite CE-4 sus Arms that are next to indistructable which is about the same price as the Sqaure Nylon arms....

And for the stabilizers...

it might be a Track by Track thing but I use 1.4mm ones up front and 1.2 in the rear... with 40W oil up fron and 35W oil in the rear...But then again I have a local track with a Sh!t load or switch backs..

Good luck
-Dave

Is there a conversion kit out there for the Barracuda where the A arms are mounted with pins instead of the original ball studs?

Talking These arms are tough!!

Much improved over the arms that come with the Barracuda kit.. ..THey came of the ALex CE-4 Peace Ark..but they are the carbon ones which are tough as "SH!T". Good buy if you own a Barracuda.. But they don't have droop screw holes ....small price to pay for durability

Thanks Diva. I think I'll take it that the kit costs around US$85 as quoted by Ko Racer.

Thanks JDM_DOHC_SiR. I didn't like the original Barracuda soft A arms. The droop screws warp the A arms. I tried the carbon A arms then the movement became gritty even with used ball studs. Damn. I thought the solution could be this kit where pins are used instead of ball studs. But now you tell me there are no droop screw holes. Can we drill droop screw holes? Just a thought.

It should be no problem to drill holes for the droop screws.. but it will be a tight fit but should work
