Dan,

Don't use extra shims on the axles. The instruction specifically says how many and that's how many it should be there. Extra shims on the axle might eat into the plastic hub and eventually prematurely wear out your axle bearings. Same goes for the diff shims. Shim the diff just as instruction says and let the gears break in first before you start playing with the shims. The car is loud at first, but after a few race weekends (or a few hard runs) it'll quiet down and then you can play with the shimming to free it up even more.

I think theres some shims on the plastic parts tree for the shocks that will do the job for that unless you have used em all up or there arent enough for the job

Even told my wife Ramon was coming and to take your wife shopping at Redeo Drive.

oh well, we'll do it one of these days.

Dan
I'd be glad to live in that gigantic guest house anytime

I found out that extra shims can prematurely wear the bearings out the hard way

Yep, Dave is the R2 man. I have no idea why, but I could not get the drivetrain free, and he says it'll be as free as a stock drivetrain when he's done with it
