not bad but what if you can't speak a word of Japanese? I had enough trouble trying to learn french and german, I forgot practicly all of that within a couple of months of stopping, and I never got any French into my head at all.

Just like I thought, I had a lot of reading to do I got my order from Kinetix today, really fast delivery time, 3 days with standard shipping, although it doesnt match the next day I get with ground from Steve

Havent done much to the R2 today, took the chassis back off to file it for the batts, but all of my files are dull, so I gotta get another one tomorrow.

Have 2 of the 5 packs I ordered built, really easy since I bought a nice Weller soldering iron with a digital temp readout, nice to know when it is up to heat

Just finished sanding the battery slots, bought some new files, so it only took me 10 mins... fast I didn't build yesterday, I was busy putting together battery packs, but I can propably finish the car in a couple hours or less.

I'm going to build 1 cuda for brushless, and 1 for stock/mod.

they are practicly yokomo shocks, I think there are minor differences on the main body. The kit piston has one smallish hole in it, you may want to change it to get softer dampening, or do as some have and drill out the hole with something like a 1mm drill bit. I'm still using the piston as it comes and haven't had any problems getting a decent setup.

You can also try HPI piston#2. If you still have the manual, they recommend to put 10wt in the rear and 20wt in the front if you are to use the stock shock pistons. Give the car a chance my friend, it's gonna be worth it. How is the car's condition? Chassis?

That's good. The car is practically brand new. Are you having problems with the handling?

Well I just finished my R2!

This car is awesome, I am so glad I read all of the tips on the Alex USA site donated by Dave, it was worth it to take my time on the transmission, I can spin 1 tire on the rear diff, and the whole transmission will spin free for 8 seconds!

I kinda rushed the rear end of the car together, I need to take it apart and free things up, there is some binding when the springs compress, but I am also going to change out the shock pistons and oil.

With my SD, I spent about $600 for the rolling chassis with the hopups I wanted, I think the R2 is better than my SD was in just about every way, and I spend $380 with tax and shipping, only felt it needed the alloy shaft mounts. I'll propably upgrade to titanium turnbuckles before long, but I really dont see a need for them at this time.
